Hi, I want to know if there is any difference between the two relevant terms in the following context, "Man proposes, God disposes" and "Man proposes, Heaven disposes". To me, Heaven is substitution for God, since what the two terms refer to are so close. Am I right? Thank you all.

You could say that Heaven is metonymy for God.;-)
