But I heard that America had 57 fathers of country, all those people who constituted the first America government and discussed American constitution, is it true?
I had never heard that about "57 fathers" before. This country (USA) was founded by people who not only were independent thinkers but also had the courage of their convictions. Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence and was the third President. George Washington commanded the Continental Army and later became the first President. Other Founders were Benjamin Franklin, James Madison, and Alexander Hamilton. (See also the writings of John Locke.) What they put together was, in a sense, a bold experiment. It was a form of government that had never been tried before. After the Constitutional Convention, a woman asked Benjamin Franklin what form of government had been established. Dr. Franklin replied, "A republic, Madam, if you can keep it."
