I am wondering if my sentences are grammatically correct.

When the justice minister unannounced visited the prison, she found its state worse than she expected. It was dirty, food was tasteless, and some prisoners were under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

When the justice minister made an unannounced [STRIKE]visited[/STRIKE] visit to the prison, she found [STRIKE]its[/STRIKE] it to be in a worse state [STRIKE]worse[/STRIKE] than she had expected. It was dirty, the food was tasteless, and some prisoners were under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

See above.
