where to write the address and date

where do I write the address and date, my form teacher said that the date should be between my address and the receiver's address but do we need to write regarding what and so for when we want to tell a person something we enjoyed

Your address is in the top right hand corner of the page.

The recipient's address is to the left of the page, and set lower.
