actually the situation is that a father is scolding his son and his big brother is taking his side in the given scene. and thenafter that boy says to his frend that his brother pretended him...that is " he pretended myself".

As it stands it is totally ungrammatical and illogical.

It needs to be "he was pretending to be me"
