"the way which somebody/something is described or defined"

which sentence is more correct and why?

Neither of them is a sentence.
I wouldn't use the second phrasing.

I don't like the way she was described. OK
I don't like the way that she was described. OK
I don't like the way in which she was described. OK
* I don't like the way which she was described. Not good.

John described her in a terrible way.

The way in which someone is described tells a lot about the person who does the description.

John was born in this room
This is the room in which John was born.

preposition + relative pronoun. In a formal style prepositions come before the realtive pronoun.

Neither a teacher nor a native English speaker.
