Hello all! I have a quick question. I work on a school newspaper called The Talon. I am having a disagreement with my advisor over the way to use the paper's name in an article.

One way says, "With their ears ringing, the Talon staff recently trekked down to the cafeteria to find out the student's reactions to the recent JYP concert."

The other way says, "With their ears ringing, The Talon staff recently trekked down to the cafeteria to find out the student's reactions to the recent JYP concert."

Which is correct and why?

Since the name of the newspaper is The Talon, it should be The Talon staff that did the work.

Say: the students' reactions.

:)
