i dont get them
when should we use them?

Use who for subjects and whom for objects, like this,

EX: John is nice.
=> Who is nice? (Subject)

EX: John saw Mary.
=> John saw whom? (Object)

EX: I gave John a book.
=> I gave whom a book? (Object)

EX: I gave a book to John.
=> I gave a book to whom? (Object)

Note, these days speakers often omit the letter/sound "m" from "whom", so you'll probably see and hear forms like this,

EX: John saw Mary.
=> John saw who? (Object)

EX: I gave John a book.
=> I gave who a book? (Object)

EX: I gave a book to John.
=> I gave a book to who?

But is it still correct even if others omit M?!
Thanks! :D
