I am not sure. It is a question in a primary school paper.
Let me suppose:
Situation 1: If it happens on the phone, what should I respond?
Situation 2:If I point to a girl on a photo, what should I respond?

Thanks!

Jason

If it's someone you know, you can say "It's"

"Hello?"
"Hey Zoe, it's Mom. I'm pulling into the driveway now. Are you ready to go?"

A: "Hello?"
B: "Hello, may I speak to Peter Smith, please?"
A: "Who is calling please?" (Or "May I ask who is calling, please" or "Can I let him know who's calling?" - "Who's this?" is NOT a common thing to say.)
B: "Oh sorry! This is Mary Jackson. I met Peter at the packaging trade show and he asked me to give him a call this week."

For situation #2, you could also say "She's Jane Doe" or "That's Jane Doe."
