I think both a and d will do but the answer is d

They all have a similar meaning. c needs to be as a result of.
The 'answer' may be D because that line begins with a CAPITAL letter which is needed at the begining of the sentence.

No, I typed the capital letter. Actually there was no capital letter in the test

i dont know how about the others. But i think "because of" is correct

:up:. In fact, there is a prescription against that sort of "due to" - ignored by many (and not borne out in reality).

But I don't think "because of" is ideal either. I'd expect to see just "At the jokes...".
