But, he turned a deaf ear to what I was asking. The more I tried to talk to him, the angrier he got.When I offered him some kind words, the angry customer suddenly allowed me to check his problem.

Can I replace the bold part above with the following, without changing its meaning?

With some kinds word offering him, the angry customer suddenly allowed me to check his connectivity problem.

No, you can't, 'With some kind words offering him' is ungrammatical and meaningless.

I was just trying to use the following struture that I have learned recently. But, it seems that I failed.
