what's the diffrent between a glass of water and the glass of water
Hi and welcome.
Say 'What's the difference between......................water?'

1..."a glass of water" can refer to a completely unspecified glass of water 'Please bring me a glass of water.'
2..."a glass of water" can also refer to one of many glasses of water. If there are many glasses of water on the table, I can again say 'Please bring me a glass of water.'

"the glass of water" refers to a specific glass of water. (There may only be one glass of water.) 'Why is the glass of water you brought me half empty?'
