In a movie, the barn animals said to a pig that he's gonna be slaughtered by winter. The pig got scared and said:

"No, I can't believe it and I won't believe it"

What is the meaning of "won't" here? Because I know that it has 2 meanings, either "Doesn't want" or "will not"

Can you please explain the difference to me?

In this context, I'm confused. I don't knwo if he means "I don't want to believe it" or "I will not believe it"

waiting for the reply
Thanks.

Due to the severity of the situation, I think he is saying "I cannot believe they would slaughter me. I will not believe this because I do not want to believe this."
