hi,

wouldn't it be nice to learn some basic vocabulary from all over the world? who knows we might see some resemblences as well...

I'll start with turkish:
good= iyi
bad= kötü
ugly= çirkin
beautiful= güzel
hot= sıcak
cold= soğuk
day= gün/gündüz
night= gece
cheap= ucuz
expensive= pahalı
now= şimdi / şu an
never= asla / hiç bir zaman
water= su
bread= ekmek
milk= süt
tea= çay
coffee=kahve
love= aşk/sevgi

so far tea and coffee seem quite similar in all 3 languages. let's wait and see what the others will say..

now- ngayon
never- hindi kahit kailan (quite long) as far as I know there's no single word for this.
water- taga-silbi (or simply waiter) that's more common.
bread- tinapay
milk- gatas
tea- tea (just the same, mo Filipino translation as far as I know)
coffee- kape
şeker- ?
love- mahal, iniibig, iniirog (olden times)

well, şeker= sugar (actually I was pretty sure that this word is quite similar in many languages, but I forgot to translate it. getting old I guess ):lol:

Actually, Italian has a natural inclination to poetry.
There was a famous Italian poet and writer (Ugo Foscolo), renowned for his beautiful poems, who is thought to be unable to write prose. Some critics say his prose maintains the structure of his poetry.

No, I don't like it. I'm just fascinated of Italian language. I learn Italian and I teach my self. I know how to make words plural and I can find out which words are masculine or feminine. I also adore Italian songs and italian food especially pasta. They are just fantastic.:oops:
