Would and ought to

It was then she felt that whenever she would have a relationship, it ought to be just like her parents’.

I'm not sure if it's grammatically correct to use would and ought to. Can someone correct this sentence if it's wrong?

I would use "that" thus:

It was then that she felt that whenever she would have a relationship it ought to be just like her parents'.

Posts 2 and 3 both have an extra she before "in".
