For 2 and 3 on relationships, you are bettter off using "close to".

I am not sure what I would use for sentence 3. however, I would not say "close to" with respect to teachers meaning a relationship unless you are looking for a criminal prosecution eventually .

Sentence one would use "of".
Sentence two would use "close to". I agree with Tedmc there, though it is not a good sentence.
Sentence three is weird to me if you want it to be a relationship.
Sentence four would use "to".
