This is what I do. If I can't find it then I ask you. I tried checking its meaning but I got some different results. In a movie there was a women who hits a kid and the mother of that comes and hits that woman saying "you should pick up on people of your size".

I was in a sessions and the host was asking for a volunteer for reading. Nobody was saying anything but suddenly a girl said that she would volunteer. So the host said I was going to pick up on you anyway if you hadn't asked to volunteer.

I searched its meaning but I didn't find satisfactory results. What does it mean in these two sentences?

"Pick on someone" means you subject that person to ridicule or bullying. The woman is supposedly a grown up and bigger than the kid. That's why the mother said what she said.

"Pick up on someone" in your context means to call on someone (to answer a question).

I think some stray prepositions got into your quotes. The mother said pick on someone your own size. The host should have said I was going to pick you anyway.
