[Grammar] "Get" and "Go"

Which of the clauses below are correct ones and which are incorrect ones?

1) It got cold. It went cold.
2) Don't go crazy. Don't get crazy.
3) The weather got bad. The weather went bad.
4) It's getting worse. It's going worse.

Could anyone tell me about using "get" and "go" as linking verbs?
When should one use "get" and when "go"?

Mostly you use "get" where you could also use "become". An exception is #2. I don't know why.

The same applies to 3 and 4 as applies to #1.

Mostly you use "get" where you could also use "become". An exception is #2. I don't know why.

And is there any other linking verb that can substitude "go"?
