I would use "in" or "of". I definitely wouldn't use "for". I would also suggest "databases" and a full stop. I'm not sure about "solid experience" - that's not a common term in English. I would expect "extensive" or something similar.

I'd need to do some research in a corpus before brandishing my usual ":up:" - I think I agree. I think the 'solid' comes from another collocation often seen in this sort of context: 'solid grounding in database admin. [or whatever]'.

I wouldn't use a preposition at all. I have extensive experience developing databases.
