Hi,

Kids, I will tell you a story which has not been told by your elders.

Could you please tell me how to reduce this relative clause? I am giving two examples to you to check.

-Kids, I will tell you a story untold by your elders.

-Kids, I will tell you a story not told by your elders.

Are they OK?

Thanks.

Yes, they're both OK. For some reason I'd prefer the second if the elders didn't know the story. If the elders knew the story but didn't tell it, I might use the first.

"Elders" isn’t correct unless you mean senior members of certain churches or tribes.

More: go here please, post # 5.
