Could you please explain to me the difference between "I'm sorry for ..." and "I am sorry to (+ verb) ..."?

Are all the sentences below correct? If not, why not?

I am sorry to reply late.
I am sorry for replying late.
I am sorry for the late reply.
I am sorry for being late in my reply.
I am sorry that I am replying late.


I am sorry to bother you.
I am sorry for bothering you. => I have never heard it but is it possible? What is the difference?

All sentences are correct. "I am sorry for bothering you." is also correct but no one prefers to speak a long one when the short one with inifinitive is possible.
