Hello,

I am teaching an English student online and they wanted more information about grammar rules and usage for the structure:

"be + adjective + about

and

worried about
anxious about / anxious of"

I could not find information in my advanced grammar book or online easily. Could anyone please let me know what information they have on this topic?

Thank you.

Philip

It's a matter of collocation rather than grammar- some adjectives take about. Sometimes, when we have the about/of choice, about implies a greater degree: I know about it (= well-informed) vs I know of it (have heard the name or a few details)

Thank you for the help - if you happened to know a web page with any more information on this topic, please let me know.
