Pupil and student are synonym, but what is the small difference between them?

simply ,student are learners of university ,pupil are learners of hight school and primery school.

Simply, students are learners in universities and pupils are learners in high schools and primary schools.

Nor is it true in the UK.

(1) You have received wonderful answers from many people. I, too, have

learned a lot from their posts.

(2) Please remember that there are small differences, as you so

correctly said.

(3) For example, all of us are "students of human nature." That is,

we all observe the way human beings act. No one would ever use

"pupil" in that sense. If you did, people would laugh.

(3) Another example:

I am a "senior citizen" (that's a nice American term for an old person).

I do not attend college classes. But I love to read about journalism and

newspapers. So I consider myself "a student of journalism." That is,

I have an interest in that subject. But if I actually enrolled in a college

course, then I could call myself "a journalism student."

(4) Yes, it's all very confusing. But with time, you will understand.

In my contry we use this word like i said abouve ,if it's wrong tell me the different.
