Dear Native Speakers,

I was wondering if both of the following two sentences mean the same:

1) It is frustrating to learn English by watching movies because the people speak too quickly.

2) It is frustrating to learn English by watching movies because the people speak too fast.

Thank you in advance.

Yes. They mean the same thing.

Speak too fast is used more often however

Speak too fast is used more often however yes, in that context
And in other contexts, "speak too quickly" can mean 'speak to soon'.

After I tell you my plan, don't speak too quickly. Think about it for a while before you tell me what you think about it.

Thank you, 2006, for your help.
