Hi, teachers:

The question I'm asking may need a bit commerce knowledge. ;-) I wonder what's the differences between "enterprise" and "venture"?

Just bumped into a term in an article "large institutional catering ventures", what if I say "large institutional catering enterprises"? What differences does it make?

Thanks a lot in advance.

And maybe this one too. Sorry.

I don't think there is any real difference in your examples. To me 'venture' has more of an idea of risk involved; I would probably use it only of a business in the fairly early days of its existence. That's a personal answer, not an expert's.

Thank you, Jed.
