Dear Forum Users,

Could anyone please explain the difference between:

'in/on the cable TV system"?

Thank you.

I'd say 'I'm watching the match on TV tonight. It's on cable'.

Does this come in a sentence? Some sort of context?

Cable TV system is pretty formal/technical. In ordinary conversations we just watch something on cable or you get cable (i.e. you subscribe to it and get it installed).
