Dear teachers,
I often here these:

It is worth the experience..

It is worth it..

I really don't know when to USE or where to PUT the word worth in a sentence... Is there any rule on this matter..

Thanks in advance...

In your examples, the word "worth" is used like a preposition. "Worth" is followed by a noun, pronoun or number, or by the -ing form of a verb. You might want to visit Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary site for more examples.

Cheers,
G.O.

It is an adjective, and is used after the verb to be.
