Hi,
I am filling out a form for a place on the Celta course. I wanted to know if my explantions on the answers were ok, I am hoping to teach abroad and dont have any english qualifications and rely on my own common sense! So it would be great to have some help.

What is the difference between the sentences
That car is too small for the whole family and
That car is big enough for the whole family.

I would say both state an opinion, first negative second positive. I am not sure of the grammatical difference.
HELP!

The course providers want to know whether you have the knowledge required to take the course with a reasonable chance of success. They do not want to know what we can tell you.

I wish you luck with your application, but regret that we cannot help you.

I recommend you use a grammar book when doing your application, btw. Practical English Usage by Swan is usually the recommended one.

I agree with fivejedjon. And I'd like to refer you to the "common sense" you yourself mentioned. Just trust your own common sense, it always responds. It tells the truth.
