Hey all,

I just want to know, when do you use Past Simple and when Present Perfect?

I use P.S. when I have a "clear" situation, sth that happened in the past and was finished in the past.
But when I have a dilemma between these two tenses, I use Present Perfect Tense only for the actions that happened in the past but have some consequences in the present.

Am i close?

This topic has been discussed numerous times. Is there any tense-specific situation you could possibly tell us about?

There's no need to apologise, it can take a while to find all the site's features.
