Would it be correct if I say ' I am glad to have been invited' instead of 'I am glad for being invited'?

It would be wrong to say "I am glad for being invited".

Why? I have seen many times sentences like I am happy for being myself , for being invited etc. Is there a rule?

I am happy being myself. Don't try to change me.
I'm happy to have been invited I'm happy that I was invited.
