Hi there,
what does '' to ask a left-handed cooking question'' mean.

Why is it left-handed?

Have you got some more context for this?

 Without context, it might be an unexpected or difficult question, or even one about buying cooking utensils suitable for left-handed people (for example, kitchen scissors with the handles reversed). ;-)

Hi,

The One With Chandler In A Box. In this Friends episode, Phoebe says that. I believe it's meant to say 'I'm very bad at cooking- it feels like I'm using my left hand but I'm not left-handed -so I'll phone my mom, who's very good at it (like nearly all moms I know) and ask her for instructions even about the slightes details'.

Just a guess, though.

Sounds like a pretty good guess to me.

As we say so often, context is vital if we want to know what a word or expression means.
