Hi,

I am very confused with the different types of vowel chart.

Please, what is the difference between the two vowel charts?

The one on the right isn't specific for any one language. The one on the left shows how the IPA has been adjusted to represent a specific accent of English. I'm not sure, but I'd guess the following:

Central a for "father" and "bother" and "hot."
Backer and round ɒ for "taut" and "cloth."
ɔː for "boat."
ʌ is "put," but it's in a mouth position usually notated with ɐ

Maybe Inland Northern? Where did you find that chart?

I found it HERE. Page 16
Where can I find a chart for RP?

Thanks.

Please, help!
