Hi,

-He put his money in the safe for fear that(lest) it would be stolen.

-I will call him for fear that(lest) he will forget to come.

-I will call him for fear that(lest) he forgets to come.

-She turned away from the window for fear that anyone should see her.

-She turned away from the window for fear that anyone see her.

I have been trying to seach the right structures of these for 1 hour, but still, I haven't been able to find the right answers. Please help me if they are grammatically OK or not.

Thanks.

I wouldn't use "lest," it is not a very common word nowadays.

I understand, but are the sentences grammatically OK? I just would like to know if I could construct the sentences correctly or not.

Hi,

-He put his money in the safe for fear that(lest) it would be stolen. "for fear that it would" or "lest it be"

-I will call him for fear that(lest) he will forget to come. "for fear that he will forget" or "lest he forget"

-I will call him for fear that(lest) he forgets to come. "for fear that he forgets" or "lest he forget"

-She turned away from the window for fear that anyone should see her. OK

-She turned away from the window for fear that anyone see her. Not OK.

I have been trying to seach the right structures of these for 1 hour, but still, I haven't been able to find the right answers. Please help me if they are grammatically OK or not.

Thanks.

They are all unlikely in modern English.
