Hi,

what is the term for when a proper noun is used as a regular noun or as a verb?

eg.

He's an einstein. (smart person)

Don't bogart the wine. (hog, not share)

She gave me a Lewinsky. (blow job)

Thank you in advance.

"Verbification" or "verbifying" (from "to verbify") are the only ones that I've ever heard.

However, I don't know if this is a term that a linguist would use.

Also, verbification does not only apply to proper nouns but to common ones as well.
For example: He medaled in the Olympics.

As for the nouns, I've never heard a term for that.

I've never heard the second two. With the first, Einstein would still require a capital E.
