I came across this sentence today:
'Nor is it about drifting into an exhausted sleep.'
I wonder if 'exhausted' is the right word to use here. Shouldn't it be 'exhausting'? Please tell me which word is suitable. I'm really confused. Thank you very much.

There is not much context here. It is possible that "exhausted" would work. Other possibly better descriptions would be "deep" or "restful". Sleep is really never exhausting.

If your sleep is exhausting, then there is something wrong. That would mean that sleeping makes you more tired! An exhausted sleep is a deep sleep which comes from being exhausted before you go to sleep.
