Is this an idiom or an ordinary sentence ? Below is the full sentence.

It's not an idiom I have ever heard. I would have to assume it was meant literally. The speaker is suffering with a cold and he is advising some other people ("guys") not to become infected with the cold, presumably by coming too close to him. I have no idea why he would give an "evil smile" after saying this. Can you give us the context and the surrounding sentences/dialogue?
