"In the following I will write about" vs "In the following TEXT I will write about"?
I am wondering if you have to use a noun after the introductory phrase "In the following ..."
On http://www.thefreedictionary.com/following I have found the following definition: "3. the following, that which comes immediately after, as pages or lines: See the following for a list of exceptions."
But this is not exactly the same construction, that is why I am not sure about it.
"In the following I will write about" or "In the following text I will write about"
I appreciate any help, but I'd be really glad about having a rule to solve this problem!
