Or "have good trip", which I suggested in post #2.
 
"Have a good trip" can include both the journey and the holiday (vacation) which ensues when the plane/boat/train arrives at its destination, if the person is not heading home after a holiday.
 
The OP said "return" to the UK. From that, I assumed that a vacation was not involved.
 
I wasn't specifically referring to this thread. I was merely pointing out for the learners' benefit that your suggested version is not limited to the journey.
