"Irrefutably drawn" is not very natural or sensical. Who would be refuting? Are they refuting that it was drawn? Or that she is feeling joy?

You're confusing the genders. If it's "his boss", it can't be "her face".

I only partly agree. Your version loses the information about what the good news actually was, and also that she got up while smiling. Without context, we don't know if those bits of information are important or not. Nikitus presumably thought they were important enough to mention.
