I have some questions about usages of get hurt and be hurt.

1. Can I say My arm got/was hurt?

I heard someone said we should say I got/was hurt on my arm or I hurt myself on my arm, instead of My arm got/was hurt.

If My arm got/was hurt is a wrong use, what should we say to use my arm as a subject?

2. Are there any slight differences between be hurt and get hurt, or specific usage situations for either of them?

Can I use I got hurt if I was emotionally hurt but not physically hurt?

Can I say My heart was hurt or You hurt my heart to replace I was hurt?

Thank you very much.
