I've looked up in a dictionary an interesting defenition for "especially a bad beer".

"Pass the belch. Anything's good on a hot day." Did anyone hear this use of "belch" in conversation?

Nor me.

A beer that makes you burp? Don't most beers do that?

The SOED has it:
Poor beer; malt liquor. arch. slang. L17.

I have never heard it used

belch = malt liquor; -- vulgarly so called as causing eructation. [Obs.] --Dennis. [1913 Webster]

Malt liquor is a North American term referring to a type of beer with high alcohol content.
