I don't understand what exactly depersonalize means. Could somebody explain this? It sometime conflicts with the meaning to the word personalize.

welcome to the forum, w20grippy.

Click here and bookmark the OneLook website for future reference.

Incidentally, we BE speakers spell it depersonalise.

Use only one question mark at a time.

Given that "depersonalise" is the opposite of "personalise", it's only to be expected that it would conflict with it.

Ooh, now I get this. I didn't notice that.

You need to work on your punctuation. Remember the following:

- End every sentence with a single, appropriate punctuation mark.

The word "single" is the important one in your case. One full stop or one question mark or one exclamation mark.

That is not a complete sentence. What was the rest of the sentence, where did you find it and who wrote it?

Yeah, I think i should learn the proper use of punctuation. I would like to thank you for your amazing proposition. But this is forum and we are on a discussion which may doesn't require proper punctuation as its not between an essay writing or an article.

We correct punctuation, capitalisation, spelling and grammar in every post. It doesn't matter that you're not writing an essay or an article. If you want to learn English, you need to learn how to use it correctly at all times.

emsr2d2, I [STRIKE]wanted[/STRIKE] want to learn [STRIKE]writing[/STRIKE] how to write complex sentences. [STRIKE]so[/STRIKE] Could you tell me what books can [STRIKE]redirect[/STRIKE] help me to learn how to do this properly?

I am going to be very honest with you. I don't think you're ready for complex sentences yet. Look at my corrections above. Once you have mastered how to write simple sentences, you can move on to intermediate grammar and usage, and then on to advanced and complex language.

I have just looked at your member profile. Are you sure that English is your native language? That means it is the language you learnt first as a child and which you use in your everyday life.
