different types of artwork vs different artworks

I would like to make up two similar sentences next.

(1) These birthday cards have five different types of artwork.

(2) These birthday cards have five different artworks.


Do "five different types of artwork" and "five different artworks" give different meanings? Thank you for your explanation.

I don't know if I am using the right word, artwork. Let me explain what I mean.

Suppose that you are looking for a card for someone's 10th birthday in a store. The store has twenty to thirty of these cards which come with five different types of "artwork". For example, four or five have a picture of some horses with birthday cakes on their backs, three or four have a picture of an ice-cream truck with ice-cream birthday cakes inside, another five or six have a picture of Batman and Robin with a huge birthday cake, and so on.

Do you call these pictures artwork? If not, what do you call them? If I know the right word, I can use it in my sentences. Thanks again.

I'd call them "designs". "There are five different designs of 10th birthday cards in this store."
