Do the following sentences all sound ok to your ears?

1) Your explanation is helpful to my study of English.
2) Your explanation is helpful to my studying of English.
3) Your explanation is helpful to my English study.
4) Your explanation is helpful to my English studying.
5) Your explanation is helpful to my studying English.
6) Your explanation is helpful to my learning of English.
7) Your explanation is helpful to my English learning.

You would rather hear this: Your explanation is really helpful for my English. This sounds better to me -not a native speaker though.

They're all awkward, but 5 and 6 are less so.

We would just say:
"Your explanation is really helpful to me -- I'm studying English."

2) Studying of English is his hobby.
3) English study is his hobby.
4) English studying is his hobby.
5) Studying English is his hobby.
6) Learning of English is his hobby.
7) English learning is his hobby.

5 is okay, 3 is acceptable but perhaps archaic. 7 is right out. The rest require a definite article.

Thank you, Konungursvia. You have helped me solve my long time puzzle. So, accordingly, I corrected them as below:

1) The study of English is his hobby. (Acceptable)
2) The studying of English is his hobby.(Acceptable)
3) English study is his hobby. .(Acceptable, perhaps archaic)
4) The English studying is his hobby..(Acceptable)
5) Studying English is his hobby.(Okay)
6) The Learning of English is his hobby..(Acceptable)

I didn't list 7) above, because I am still not clear about the phrase "right out" you used. In my dictionary I can not find a suitable explanation. Would you please define it?

Right out means not at all in or acceptable. Learning English is is hobby. That's okay. Generally, you've got it, though 2 still sounds unusual, though probably acceptable.
