Could you check the following?

At ice cream shop:

  1. Don't you have ice cream with hot apple crisp as topping?
  2. I ate an ice cream with hot apple crisp as topping here, but it seems that you haven't had that in your menu anymore.
  3. I am not seeing the ice cream with hot apple crisp as topping on your menu for months. Don't you no longer have it on the menu?

See above. However, the first suggests that the hot apple crisp is one of several topping choices for the ice cream, whereas the other two sound like the ice cream with hot apple crisp is just a single dessert choice (i.e. no choice of toppings).

With regard to #2, I have no problem with "I ate an ice cream with ..."

I'd say '... with hot apple crisp topping'.

I'd probably say "with a hot apple crisp topping".

Having said that, I have never had an ice cream with a hot topping in my entire life. If I have an ice cream, I just have an ice cream - a cornet with one to three scoops of flavoured ice cream.

You could try it. you are going to love it. :) So delicious

Sounds interesting! Maybe I'll try making the apple crisp to have on my divine coconut-based (vegan) ice cream!

Hot-fudge sundaes were a staple of my childhood. I haven't had one in decades but I might still enjoy one. :)

What's apple crisp? I don't know how to imagine it.

Something like this.

I was about to ask the same thing as I read the thread. My Grandma never made it.

I tried some almond-milk ice cream once, and found it particularly delicious. You got not only the chocolate flavor, but added almond flavor from the milk. 'Twas good, but I only bought it because it on super cheap clearance. I think the date was about to expire. I'm not much for coconut, but even it was better than the soy milk ice cream.

I take my coffee straight, but I'd imagine the almond milk would make a great creamer.

What's apple crisp? I don't know how to imagine it.

Imagine an apple cobbler, but replace that thick biscuit or pie type crust with what's essentially granola. Then there are fruit crumbles, which have sort of a struesel or crumb-cake style topping. No hard or fast rules on the toppings, though.

See also betty's, pandowdy's, and the (rather unappetizing-sounding) grunt.
I've never actually heard of any of these last 3 until 5 minutes ago.
