One of the sofas with fringe trims was found to be slightly damaged. It seems that the ends of the fringe trims were burnt to prevent from fraying and it looks like a black bulky melted part at the end.
All other sofas’ fringe trim ends were nicely blanket stitched to contain fraying. On contacting the upholstery shops, we were informed that the fringe trims what we have given for upholstery, already had burnt edges and they hadn’t done anything on that. In that case, they could have avoided that part and use the remaining to complete the work because we supplied trims more than what was required. But, it seems that they are telling lies because we never had received the fringe trims with burnt ends.
Are the above sentences grammatically correct? Please advise.
