We usually say 'get out of a car'. However, I saw 'She fell down on the ground after she got off the taxi' in a book.
Is it correct to say 'got off the taxi' ?

Not for me.

I am not a teacher.

We use "get off" for buses, trains, trams and planes because we "get on" them in the first place.

We "get in" a taxi so the natural words to use at the end of the trip are "get out".

I meant that it was not OK for me.

Which book did you see it in, queeniech?

I saw once it in the exercise book as well!

Hey Boris, if you really want people to correct all your mistakes then try,
"I saw it once in an exercise book as well!

It's unusual- I wouldn't use it. Was it a regular taxi or some sort of shuttle service? If it's a normal taxi, then it's an odd usage.

I'm ready to argue that "in the" was correct and thank you for "saw it once". ;-)

You're welcome.

You can argue a case for "in the" (which isn't strictly speaking wrong), I just feel that unless we know that you are talking about the same book, "in an" is better.
