Lastly, winter is the coldest season. The lowest temperature is below –10 degrees Celsius.
The Korean peninsula has harsh temperature differences/differential between seasons, so I envy the climate of countries located near the equator.

Is the underlined correct?

Perhaps:

Korea is in the temperate zone, and winter is the coldest season. It might get to -10 degrees Celsius (14 degrees Fahrenheit). The Korean peninsula has wide temperature variations between seasons. Sometimes I wish I lived someplace where it didn't get so cold.

Try spending a winter in Maine or Minnesota. (Not to mention Alaska.)
