It depends on the context. For example, if you hand a present to a friend, but she isn't going to open it immediately, you would say "I hope you'll like it [when you open it]". However, if she opens it immediately while you are there, you would say "I hope you like it".

You can often use the present tense with "I hope".

I hope I have some cheese in the fridge.
I hope my car is OK.
