How to ask if I am not sure what my interviewer's question is?

Hello there,

During telephone interview, how should I ask in an appropriate way that if interviewer is asking the A question for instance? Because I am scared my understanding might be incorrect about the question. Can I say are you asking blah, blah question? But really dont think that is a good way to express this.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I just want to make sure I answer your question correctly. Do you mean ... [blah blah blah]?

If I understand your question, you want to know ... [blah blah blah]. Is that right?
